Tablet PC

I really liked playing with the tablet. It was a lot of fun write and then have it converted to text. I really didn't like taking notes on the tablet. It would not always recognize my handwriting. I think it would have just be easier for me to key my notes instead of messing around with the tablet. Besides that I really enjoyed using the tablet.

Omin Scanning

Using the scanner wasn't new to me but I have never used a software where you can scan a form and then fill it out on the computer. I really liked using this software. I could definitely see myself using it in the future for all sorts of things. It was really quick and easy. The only problem I had was that the program did not pick up all of the areas that could be filled in on the form.

10-Key

I always use the 10 key pad. The training we did was neat but I guess I don't use the correct hand positions for the key pad. It was a little weird to use the pad the way the software taught, I didn't really care for it. I guess learning something the wrong way makes learning it the right way a little more difficult.

OneNote

I really liked OneNote! I will definitely use it in the future. I never knew there was an easier way to take notes in class, besides Word. I have used my OneNote to make to-do lists and shopping lists. It has been very useful and is fun to use. I love the different stationery's, they make taking notes a little more entertaining. I can see myself using OneNote for the rest of my college career and possibly even in my classroom.

Dell Axim

The Dell Axim was pretty neat. I enjoyed working with it. The only thing that I found aggravating was trying to set up the wireless keyboard. It took to some time before I had it in the right place, where the handheld could pick up the keyboard's infrared beam. I believe that I enjoyed using the Dell more than the Zire. If I had to chose one or the other, I believe I would have chose the Dell with a camera.

Palm Zire 72

I really liked using the Zire 72. I had never used a palm quite like it before. I found that I really needed to practice how to write letters. There is a guide on the back to the palm that helped a lot, especially whenever I was trying to write a S and it would make a G. It was fun to write on the screen and have the palm recognize what I was writing; maybe I’m just easily amused. Oh well. I also found that it was a whole lot easier to use the wireless keyboard to enter my calendar and anything that was more than a couple of words. I never really knew that you could do so much with a palm, besides games.

This picture was taken with the camera on the Zire 72 Palm. It was pretty neat to have a palm that has a camera.

Dragon SpeakingNaturally

I really enjoy using Dragon. It is a lot easier than using the speech recognition on the Windows XP. Dragon is a more efficient tool when it comes to dictating. I am really thinking about buying the software for myself and using it for papers and such. The only thing that I don't really like about Dragon is the time it takes to update your file after you have trained.

I was thinking about buying Dragon for my own personal use, but it is a little too expensive for me. I guess I will just have to stick with Windows XP.
